The cost-effective way to syphon wounds
Sumar Max and Sumar Lite are a range of highly absorbent
dressings that have the capacity to draw fluid away from the
wound, resulting in an effective rapid capillary action. The
rapid capillary action draws the interstitial fluid from the
wound bed and deeper tissue, transporting bacteria-laden exudate,
necrotic debris & slough to the core of the dressing, reducing
the risk of maceration.
The syphoning action of the dressing makes the product an ideal,
cost-effective, step down from negative pressure systems (e.g.
when there is less exudate, fewer canister changes, when the wound
is more manageable, etc). Equally the product can be used where
mobility of the patient is required, where a seal cannot be made,
or on smaller drainage wounds.
